Part Time Designer at our Stillwater location

Abbott Paint & Carpet — a family-owned and operated business for over 80 years — has an immediate opening for an ambitious, self-motivated Part Time Designer at our Stillwater location (with opportunity for occasional shifts at our other locations as needed). You’ll serve as a knowledgeable resource for our customers, helping them select the right products, answering questions, and providing outstanding service throughout every phase of their project.


Schedule:

  • 1 weekday per week
  • Every other Saturday and occasional Sunday
  • Approximately 8–20 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with paint colors, flooring, window treatments, and other design selections.
  • Provide design guidance and product recommendations based on customer style and needs.
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming showroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Stay up to date on current design trends and Abbott Paint & Carpet product offerings.

  • Experience or education in interior design, decorating, or related field preferred.
  • Strong color sense and product knowledge in flooring, paint, or home finishes a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and detail-oriented.

Retail Paint Sales Associate at our Stillwater location

Abbott Paint & Carpet — a family-owned and operated business for over 80 years — has an immediate opening for an ambitious, self-motivated full-time Retail Paint Sales Associate at our Stillwater location (with occasional shifts at our other locations as needed). You’ll serve as a knowledgeable resource for our customers, helping them select the right products, answering questions, and providing outstanding service throughout every phase of their project.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work in-store alongside our team of trained sales professionals.
  • Provide product recommendations and paint expertise based on customer needs.
  • Prepare quotes and give timely, helpful feedback to customers and contractors.
  • Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth purchasing experience.
  • Build relationships with local painters, homeowners, and contractors who rely on our products and support.

Paint or retail experience is helpful but not required — we’ll provide comprehensive training.

Warehouse/Driver

Abbott Paint & Carpet, a family owned and operated business for 80 years, has an immediate opening for an ambitious, self-reliant part or full time Warehouse/Driver who will help our teams to accept deliveries, organize the warehouse and make the rounds between our three store locations. Come work with us, where you will:


  • Filling and receiving orders accurately along with maintaining paperwork
  • Making carpet cuts
  • Driving a forklift
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Accept vendor deliveries at our White Bear Lake store
  • Manage the warehouse space to ensure inventory is properly stored and accessible to the teams
  • Ensure deliveries are made to each of our store locations, and other various destinations

The successful candidate will be excited about managing a warehouse and the roles and responsibilities that come with detailed labor work. Prior experience is great, but it’s not required. Our training will give you all the tools necessary for your success. Other keys to success:
